Welcome to Madison Heights Youth Assistance!
Madison Heights Youth Assistance, Inc. (MHYA) is one of twenty-six similar organizations located in Oakland County that are sponsored by the Oakland County Court system and the individual cities and school districts in which they operate. We were established in 1958.
MHYA is a volunteer organization serving the Lamphere/Madison School Districts in Madison Heights. By working cooperatively with the Oakland County Circuit Court-Family Division, the City of Madison Heights, the schools, police, parents, youth and community resources, MHYA is able to help families and young people.
Our primary goal is to prevent delinquency and neglect by providing counseling for individuals and families. By utilizing our citizen volunteers and community resources, we also provide programs for the general community that enhance family life and result in positive alternatives for youth.

Why Volunteer?
When you volunteer you are giving something back to your community by lending a helping hand to people and organizations. It has a meaningful, positive impact on your community. What you may not realize is that volunteering also benefits you as an individual. There are many good reasons to get involved in the community, including learning something about you. MHYA offers volunteer opportunities for both teens and adults.
